The NHS Information Centre National Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) Database records information from the post mortem examination by the Coroner\u2019s pathologist and any extra examination of the heart by an expert cardiac pathologist. At present we do not know how many deaths in the UK are due to SADS. The database will help us collect this information and improving our understanding of inherited cardiovascular disease.
