SADS is an umbrella term used to describe a death that has occurred prematurely in a person’s life span.
SADS stands for Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).
It is where the heart goes into chaotic rhythm from which it cannot return naturally.
The person suffers a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
There are various cardiac conditions that could lead to a SADS death if left undiagnosed or untreated.

- Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)
- Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome (WPW)
Channelopathies
- Brugada Syndrome
- Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT)
